May this day find you at peace. Today in the United States and a few other countries, it is Mother’s Day. For some a day to celebrate, for others it may be a difficult day.
I would like to honor you and whatever kind of day you are having. May you be gentle with yourself today if you need it. If it is a day of joy, rest, and ease, then may you make memories to last a lifetime! Even if you only have five minutes, take a moment to pause.
Please take time for yourself today.
I invite you now, dear reader, to pause.
Breathe in slowly, holding your breath for as long as is comfortable. Exhale. Do so two more times. If you can, stay in this place of observing your breath for five minutes. Just focus on your breath. If a thought comes in, when you notice, go back to the focus of your breath. When five minutes has passed, take a little time to just be. Wait up to a minute or two before getting back to your day.
